The Radius Story
It's hard to separate our story from the story of those who have come before us. We are part of a long line of people who have interacted with a living God and have passed on their experiences so that we would continue the revolution that Jesus started. We aren't doing anything new. Rather, we are continuing something very ancient.
Where We've Come From
After starting several churches in the southeast, John Reeves and his wife Cheryl felt that God was calling them to move to Greenville. In 2006, John and his brother Matt purchased a building in Greenville with the financial support of Radius Columbia. Soon the gym was converted into a community center and the Frazee Dream Center was born. Over the next year, a group of believers gathered and prayed regularly for God to move. In early 2008, Stuart Fuller joined the radius community and began to bring clarity God's mission for us.
Where We Are
We are currently a part of the revolutionary, unstoppable force of love and restoration in G'ville known as the Church. We are, by nature, a decentralized movement.. We equip people to engage in organic, inclusive communities that happen in the natural spaces and rhythms of life. These incarnational circles of sojourners seek to live the ways of Jesus in every facet of life. In the same vein as Paul, we fight to maintain the DNA of Jesus Christ within these communities or "churches.". We network the communities together in order to hold our possessions in common and to serve this city. And we gather with the communities weekly to celebrate and tell stories of God and one another.
Where We're Going
We don't know. But we are committed to going nowhere if it means going without the direction and power of the Holy Spirit. Our hope is that God would allow us the privilege of offering ourselves as living sacrifices and fighting with Him on the front lines of the battle for this city and this world.
